Once a popular Actor of Bhojpuri Cinema, Mahesh Raja, went into oblivion for nearly a year. His film Kab Hou Gavanava Hamar was honoured with National Award. He had acted in more than a dozen films. Some noteworthy films of Mahesh Raja are Pammi se pyar ho gayeel, Lakho Me Ek Hamar Bhauji (with Ravi Kishan), Bandhal Rahe Piritiya ke Dor and Piya Sang Lage Jiya (with Mohan Joshi and Rakesh Pandey) etc.

Mahesh Raja is said to be the search-result of Music King Gulshan Kumar who had launched him and now famous lyrcist Vinay Bihari afte a Talent Hunt in Bihar.

Tohar Ankhiya... has been produced by Kantibhai-Raisbhai and directed by Mithilesh-Avinash. Rani Chatterjee, KunalSingh, Ajit Aryan etc are other stars of the film.

Mahesh Raja however brushed aside his so called one year in oblivion as a rumour and said that he was busy with shooting of his serials and films during this period. Anyway, his fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his new films.
